Woodhouse Indoor Swimming Pool
The Woodhouse Farm Indoor Swimming Pool building was refurbished in 2022. New changing rooms, play room, games room and the outside sun area are all updated.
Woodhouse Farm has an all-year-round indoor swimming pool and playroom. Relax ‘at the pool’ if you don’t feel like a day out. The 10 x 5m swimming pool is heated to 30ºc plus a sauna room. Younger children will love the new children’s playroom. Others can play a game of pool or table tennis in the games room.
The 10 by 5 metre swimming pool is 1.22m deep so is suitable for all ages, there are on-site changing facilities and loos kept constantly warm. Also within the building are the children’s playroom and games room.
On a deck outside the swimming pool is a sun bathing area and outdoor children’s playground.
The swimming pool has automatic water treatment systems and heating.
Private Rota
During lock-down we were obliged to offer each group private indoor pool access. This got us thinking, if you were there with little children and a load of teenagers turned up, would you be happy? Of course not! We kept the rota going.
Your cottage’s pool slots will be emailed to you in advance, usually a week before. The time slot is different each day and there are “free periods” should you miss a time.
The indoor pool is open from 9am to 9pm
Sauna Cabin
The private rota also applies to the sauna room located adjacent to the indoor swimming pool. The sauna cabin is suitable for 4 to 5 people and electrically heated.
The cabin was completed in 2022 when we wanted to create a more “boutique spa” feel to our offering. This included creating new changing rooms, loos and better quality facilities like swimsuit presses, swim towels (in case you forget yours) and hairdryers
Play Rooms
Both younger and older people will be entertained by the play room and games room at Woodhouse Farm.
The play room for younger children was designed by a primary school teacher and is a quiet room with toys and books.
The games room has a pool table and table tennis table as well as a TV and some seating. These rooms can be used at any time.
Outside Areas
Immediately outside the swimming pool as sun deck area with sofas, sun shade and tables.
Behind the sun deck is an outdoor children’s playground with swings, slides and a wooden playhouse. There is some seating for supervising adults on this lawned area
