Supermarkets

There are several local supermarkets close to  Ashcombe Country Cottages. They are all able to deliver to the holiday cottages, but please be sure to have arrived before they do! 

Please manually input the delivery address. Enter “Name of Cottage” followed by Ashcombe and the postcode EX7 0QD.  For the Cider Barn please use the postcode EX7 0GX. Endeavour, Columbia, Rainbow, Madeleine and Freedom are at Woodhouse Farm EX7 0QD.

There are also a host of independents as well as Waitrose, Lidl and Aldi stores

Penn Inn, Newton Abbot, TQ12 1BN

A large supermarket with petrol station which is easy to find and quick to reach. At the top of the zigzag hill turn right on the B3192. Take the exit signed A380 towards Torquay. Follow the A380 until you reach Penn Inn roundabout. Turn right at this roundabout towards Newton Abbot and Sainsbury’s is just off the roundabout to your left.

Open 7-9pm Monday to Saturday. 10am-4pm on Sundays.

There is also a large Sainsbury’s in Exeter, Alphington. Technically  the nearest is Shutterton in Dawlish which we don’t recommend as it is harder to reach and more expensive 

Newfoundland Road Teignmouth TQ14 9AE

A large supermarket with petrol station which is near to the cottages. At the top of the zigzag hill turn left on the B3192. Follow the road into Teignmouth and after about 3 miles you will approach traffic lights, you need to be in the right hand lane, turn right and follow the road out of the town. Morrisons is on the right (soon after the left turn signed to Shaldon).

Open 7am-10pm Monday to Saturday. 10am-4pm on Sundays.

Newton Road, Kingsteignton, TQ12 3RN

A very large supermarket with petrol station and chemist. At the top of the zigzag hill turn right on the B3192. Take the exit signed A380 towards Torquay. Follow the A380 and after several miles take the turning to the Newton Abbot Racecourse. Turn right at the bottom of the slip road still following the signs to the Racecourse. Go straight over the mini roundabout, then left at the next mini roundabout, follow the loop around, and at the next roundabout turn left to the racecourse. At the next roundabout turn right to Tesco.

Open 6am-12am Monday to Saturday. 10am-4pm on Sundays.
