The Haldon Ridge is situated close to Ashcombe and climbs to a height of 250m above sea level. Haldon Forest Park is a haven for birds of prey.

Walks and all ability trails - The Discovery Trail is a multi-use, all ability trail with traditional and natural play features, the Sensory Trail at Mamhead has been specially designed to stimulate the senses of visitors of all abilities. If you fancy a more demanding trail follow the Tree Trail or the Raptor Trail.

For Mountain bikers there are trails to suit all abilities together with a Skills area and Pump Loop.
