Whether you want a gentle stroll or an exhilarating mountain bike experience, there’s something for you in the 3,500 acres of Woodland at Haldon Forest Park. The Haldon Ridge is situated close to Ashcombe and climbs to a height of 250m above sea level.

There are several waymarked trails to suit all abilities and interests, all ability trails are level and well surfaced, making them suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs with regular resting points.

The Discovery Trail is a multi-use, all ability trail with traditional and natural play features, whilst the Sensory Trail at Mamhead has been specially designed to stimulate the senses of visitors of all abilities.

The Tree Trail is a discretely waymarked and more demanding trail showing off magnificent trees and habitats.

Follow the Raptor Trail to experience some of the wildlife living in the forest, including a visit to the bird of prey viewpoint (don't forget your binoculars!) although fully surfaced this trail is more demanding with a few steep ascents and descents.

Mountain bikers are well catered for with the Discovery Trail, Challenge Trail, Ridge Ride Trail and the Skills area and Pump Trail.
