The Ashcombe Estate has been owned by the Rayner Family since 1932. Primarily a farming estate with cereals, sheep and cattle, the estate has also diversified into a number of different areas including holiday cottages and out-door activities.
Within the estate you will find the 12th Century St Nectan's Church, an iron-age Castle Dyke fort (a Site of Special Scientific Interest), all with expansive views to Dartmoor to the west and the Devon coast to the east.
Ashcombe is only 4 miles from the South Devon coast, 10 miles from Exeter and 15 miles from Dartmoor National Park so there is always plenty to do whether you wish to walk or drive from your cottage.
