In only 30 minutes drive from your Ashcombe Cottage you can be hiking up to the top of Haytor on Dartmoor.

Dartmoor is protected countryside, home to Dartmoor ponies and fine local ales.  The famous Widecombe Fair is held on the second Tuesday in September every year since 1850.
